Who we are
Sunday Carry is a sole trader business in New South Wales, Australia. You can reach us at hello@sundaycarry.shop.
What we collect
When you order, we collect your name, email address, delivery address and phone number, along with what you ordered, what you paid and how the delivery went.
When you email us, we keep what you wrote so we can answer it and remember the conversation if you write again.
When you browse, our servers record basic technical information — your device and browser type, and your IP address. That much happens for every visitor, because it is how the site is served and kept secure. Shopify also collects basic first-party statistics about how the store is used, as the platform that runs it. If you accept advertising cookies, we also run a Meta advertising pixel — see Tracking, below.
We never see your card details. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments. Your card number goes to Shopify's payment system, not to us, and we could not see it if we wanted to.
Why we collect it
To send you the thing you bought. To answer you when you write. To process refunds under our guarantee. To understand how the store is used. To advertise the store. That is the whole list — we do not do anything else with it.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which runs this store, hosts this website and processes your payment through Shopify Payments.
- The carrier delivering your parcel, which needs your name and address to deliver it.
- Our email provider, which stores the messages you send us and the ones we send you.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), but only if you accept advertising cookies. We share what you did on the store — pages viewed, cart additions, purchases — so we can measure our advertising.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade it.
Where your information goes
Shopify stores and processes data outside Australia, including in the United States. If you order from us, your information is handled overseas by Shopify under its own privacy terms. We cannot control what they do beyond the terms they publish. The same applies to Meta, which processes data outside Australia, including in the United States, if you have accepted advertising cookies.
Tracking and cookies
Some cookies keep the store working — they remember what is in your cart and carry you through checkout. Those run either way, because without them the store does not function.
Advertising cookies are different, and we ask first. When you arrive you will see a banner asking whether you accept them. Nothing advertising-related runs before you answer.
Advertising cookies only run if you accept them. If you accept, we run a Meta advertising pixel. It tells Meta which pages you looked at, what you added to your cart and what you bought, so we can tell whether our ads are working and show them to people like you.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser.
Shopify also collects basic first-party statistics for us as the platform that runs the shop.
Marketing email
We always email you about your own order. That is not marketing and you cannot unsubscribe from it, because you need to know your parcel is coming.
We only send marketing email if you asked for it, and every one of them carries an unsubscribe link. One click, no questions.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records: for as long as we are required to keep business records for tax purposes. Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe. Emails: for as long as they are useful to answer you.
Security
Your payment and your order data are both handled by Shopify — far better resourced at security than we are, and that is deliberate. We are not going to promise you perfect security, because nobody can. What we can promise is that we do not hold your card details, and we do not email your personal information around.
Seeing or correcting what we hold
Email hello@sundaycarry.shop and ask. We will tell you what we have about you, correct anything wrong, or delete what we are not required to keep. We will get back to you within 5 business days.
Complaints
Email us first and we will try to fix it. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes guidance on your options at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version that applies to you is the one published when you ordered.
